Sure, we all saw the movie 300 and loving it. I mean who doesn’t ? Great story, great cinematography, great adaptation from the novel ( I have been a Frank Miller’s fan since he did Batman: Dark Knight Returns back in 1986), theres nothing bad to hate in 300, I personally give the movie an overall of 9.5 stars (out of 10), maybe I’m just easy to be pleased when it comes to Miller’s work.
Anyway, here is the fun facts for today…
The 300 Spartans Warrior (a.k.a Hoplites) are all “heavy infantry soldiers”, and by heavy I mean… RIDICULOUSLY HEAVY. Every single hoplites actually needs 3 servants to carry their swords, spears, body armors, shields…etc to Thermopylae (where the battle against persians took place). So that means that there were 900 servants serving the 300 hoplites.
On their last battle , all the 900 servants were all died fighting beside their master, but history seems to forget their heroic-acts, and remember only the 300 hoplites.
So, I guess it’s only fair if I made an altered poster of the movie in honor of the 900-forgotten servants/heroes…
